Have you ever wanted to change something so badly in your life?
Have you ever found yourself so gung-ho to start this change only to find yourself losing motivation as the days go by until you stop adopting the change and just go back to how things were before?
Frustrating isn’t it?
You know what you want to do. You know what results you want to achieve. You found the motivation to start. But you just can’t stick to it until you get the results you were aiming for.
Hey, I get it! I have also tried so many times to let go of bad habits and start with new and better habits. Sometimes, I will be successful in making that change last for months. But lo and behold, temptation comes in and I go back to my old ways.
Over the years of empowering myself and taking on this journey of personal growth and development, I read books and listened to different experts to understand more about how our mind works and how it can be applied to one’s journey to making a change that lasts. There are different tools, techniques, and philosophies. Some, I resonated with and I’ve applied into my life. Some, I don’t so I just took what’s valuable for me and let the rest go.
What I’m getting at here is that there are many approaches that you could apply into your life. Each of these have a success story but this doesn’t necessarily mean that each of these approaches would work for everyone. Perhaps, one thing that is stopping you from creating a lasting change in your life is that you just haven’t found the right and best way for you, yet.
So my challenge for you is to spend this weekend learning from different experts, authorities, and regular folks who have successfully created a lasting change in their lives. Thanks to the internet, it is so easy to get information now. What’s more, a lot of valuable information are available for free!
At the end of this post, I’ll be sharing links to what some of my mentors got to say about creating a lasting change in life. (Not an exhaustive list, just something to start you with.)
Read, watch, and learn from them with an open mind. Then take what resonates with you and let go of what doesn’t. Apply it to your life and see what happens. If it works, great! If not, then experiment on another. Do this until you find what resonates and works best with you.
Next week, we’ll go deeper in this topic and I’ll share with you the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS you need to learn and understand as you continue your journey to becoming the best version of yourself this year. Truth be told, the things I’ll be sharing next week are the foundation for living your best life. So be sure to come back next week to know these KEY CONCEPTS! 😉
